- The LGCC Annual Avery Island Grove cleaning event will take place the weekend of Feb 8-10, 2008. This event is a members only activity, but a membership form is included in the links below for anyone who would like to become a member of the ABS-LGCC chapter which would enable them to attend this event. This event is the premier LGCC chapter activity and promises to be an exciting weekend.
Activities will commence on Fri night, with grove cleaning taking place on Sat and then topping off with a bamboo crafts workshop on Sun. The activities coordinator for this years event is Andy and Ken Ringle. Andy can be contacted at 337-560-1735 or you can email him at ringlead@bellsouth.net.

- The First Annual Winter Bamboo Festival of the Southeast Chapter will take place Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008 at the Bamboo Farm & Coastal Gardens at Savannah, GA.

- Adam and Sue Turtle will be hosting a Bamboo Field ID Workshop and Symposium at Earth Advocates Research Farm (EARF) in Summertown TN on April 19th and 20th
The farm boast a large collection of bamboos set in the beautiful hill country of southern TN and it will definitely be an interesting weekend and foray into the world of bamboo ID. For more information contact Sue Turtle at 706-255-4901 or email Sue at bambooconsultant@aol.com .
